Stylesightings last night at Nylon magazine’s 10th anniversary party in New York. In 1999 I had recently moved to New York and gotten a job as an intern for the Beastie Boys. One of my main duties was going through magazines to look for any Beasties press. I heard about this cool new magazine that Helena Christensen was doing with some friends – it was supposedly going to focus on New York and London. (NY…LON…get it?) Well, they sort of dropped the New York/London theme after a few issues…but they are still on the top of my magazine heap when I’m looking for fashionable info about those two cities. Or when I want to read about up-and-coming designers, or Danish pop bands, or where to shop in Barcelona. Nylon is a fashion magazine sure…but it’s also always been a lifestyle guide for the cool kids. Only 10 years old and already staying out late and partying…xx eddie
