I suppose it wouldn’t be very nice of me to mention that I’m going to a Halloween party and then not show you my snaps from that – so here they are. I went to the Overlook Hotel’s annual party held in their Grand Ballroom with the same crowd that’s been coming there since well, forever. OK…actually it was the Tribeca Grand Hotel…and DFA Records co-hosted…but The Shining was playing on a big screen and the movie was the given theme for the evening. Some partygoers were even dressed as flappers and other 1920’s-inspired characters – if you’ve seen the movie you’ll understand this reference point. Yes – but it was a very loose theme – they could/should have done more with it.
