I mean Siren in the past has had Scissor Sisters, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, M.I.A., etc. This year there was no one in the line-up to compare to those acts. That may well have been the last Siren - it remains to be seen. This is almost certainly the last summer for Astroland amusement park. I think there will be a reconstruction and reconfiguration of multiple blocks at Coney - so even though the Siren stages are actually in the street, who knows if those streets will even still be there? Plus if there is any sort of "luxury" property or hotel built in the immediate area the owners may not want a bunch of hipsters taking over for the day of the fest. As has happened in Times Square, it's hard to clean an area up just a little bit - it seems that they always go too far and when they finish you can't even recognize how it used to look. After looking at all of my photos from the day I thought the Polaroids and the digital looked too similar - so I decided not to post both. I may however do an all-Polaroid post at the end of summer.
